“Venezuela Up to date”

Domingo Sánchez

To our readers in English:   As promised at the end of year 2012, we offer a “resumé” of the principal news in relation with several important things. Much of this information
becomes from free researches of the Blog group, in order to inform our readers due to  omissions and distortions of the Venezuelan  radio, press and TV.

1-      The health of President Chávez, becomes “stable” according with the last official report (January 7- 2013) from the medial group who is attending him at Havana’s  Hospital.
2-      According to  the Venezuelan  Constitution, “on January 10, after new elections the elected President shall take oath  before the National Assembly (Congress). But If It  is not possible to do that on this date, due to unexpected casualty (as been heavy seek or absent from the Country for several reasons) he can do it before the Supreme National Court in another date.” (Article 231).  Being under an special  permission  approved by the totally members of the General Assembly on december  8, 2012 “for a period mayor to five days” and has being objet to a difficult and very complicated surgery  intervention on december 11, 2012, so  President Chávez,  probably  cannot be present on January 10th at the Assembly.  So the act of taking office will be at another date and before the Supreme National Court.   The Venezuelan people re-elected President Chávez on October 7, 2012 with a total of 8.221.000 votes.
3-      The American imperialism  is  trying to engage  the Venezuelan opposition   in another  counter revolution coup, similar to that of April 12, 2002, but the Venezuelan people will do not permit it, in any way.  The Venezuelan Constitution also establishes how and what to do in such a case.
4-      The country is entirely in peace. Schools opened in January 5, 2013 with more than 7 million students attending classes. Industries, banks and general business are working normally.
