Agents of the Venezuelan opposition went to some Latin
American countries, asking their Parliaments, to help them in their fight not to
recognize the results of the Presidential elections of April 14th-
They visited México, Peru, Paraguay, Colombia and the United States. One of their main leaders, Maria Corina
Machado went to Colombia and the Senate, after hearing her allegations, took
the decision of not to accept her propositions, alleging that The Colombian
Senate, will never do that because they are not
referees for any elections in foreign countries. Same answer they
receive from the Peruvian Senate, due that they will never do that kind of
resolutions. The delegate to USA was an old social-democrat leader called who limited his visit to Miami, and
told to newspapers that he “went to Miami to test the Venezuela arepas” *. Bur
he obviously took contact with representatives of the U S State Department to
let them informed about the refusal results found with the visit of other
leaders to Latin America.
Ø
Finally, deputy to the National Assembly, Maria
Machado, admitted their “unfortunate event”.
Nevertheless, their organized protests in Venezuela, during April days
14, 15 16 and 17 may be balanced as: 10
people died, 53 injured, 12 popular clinics attacked, several attacks to the houses
of some of the Venezuelan organizations, like the one against the house of Dra.
Tibisay Lucena, President of the National Elections Council -C N E all of them activated by Javu and other
opposition groups. A commentary: their
salvage and fascist attacks ignored for instance that the attacks to clinics
and/or hospitals are preserved by International Law. National authorities are investigating those
attacks and preparing the proper actions established by Venezuelan Laws.
Ø
President Nicolas Maduro, introduced one first change:
He and his cabinet, are working in a new program called “Street government”
starting with the Zulia State, one of the biggest and populated in the
country. He followed the program with
other States like Táchira, Anzoátegui, Bolívar and others. This program
consists in checking personally by him and their ministers, the main problems
and projects, all over the country.
Ø
Another initiative
is calling to opposition members, private owners and capitalists, to come into
conversations in order to go ahead with the Venezuelan main Project, prepared
by ex-President Chavez called “The Venezuelan Project for the years 2013-2019”.
Ø
Finally President Madura proposed to go ahead and get
approval at the National Assembly, on the law to disarm people. And proposed
another popular program called: “Peace and no violence”.
Ø
Venezuela is being prepared for the next Municipal
elections to be celebrated probably in next month of July.
