“Venezuela up to date” (01-12-2013)

ü  To our readers in English: As promised at the end of the year 2012, we offer a “resume” of the principal news in relation  with several important things that happen in Venezuela. Much of this information are originated by free researchers of the Blog group, in order to inform our readers due to the omissions and distortions made by the Venezuelan and International radios, press and TVs

Ø  President Nicolas Maduro activities:

1-      On November 23th, based in the new approved Special Law to give Presidency legal powers to modify some laws referred to production, distribution, prices and profits has adopted a new Law on “Costs Control, Prices, Profits and Family Protections”  which will permit the state to audit nor only the internal  state income control systems but in the private economy too.  The origins of this revolutionary law, is simple: in a recent audit operation on more than 2.000 commercial organizations, in the last two weeks, all over the country, including specially those that import goods to Venezuela, based on the U dollar assignations at the rate Bs/F 6,30 per dollar and the scandalous abuse of retail prices which went from 54% to 4000 % !!!

The immediate reaction of the U S State Department  was that they “are worried” about the new law.  But no one word about the speculation abuses of many of the big commercial stores.

2-      He also adopted a resolution to increase the university fellowship up to 210.000 students in the next 2014.

3-      Another decree from President Maduro announced that a limit of 250 Bs/F by square meter is his top price for rental purposes all over the country to put some kind of order in the uncontrolled and scandalous prices established by the private owners of those buildings.

4-      The Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro was present at the moment when 290 new integral doctors were graduated in the Latin American Medicine School that functions at Caracas city.  They came from 13 countries. This School supports the general costs of its students: a) the cost to come to Venezuela. b) all their needs that covers the six years of their studies  c) all complementary materials needed during that period d) the costs of medical assistance to them in that period e) the costs to return the foreign students to their countries of origin.

5-      The Municipal elections will take effect on December 8^th in our nation, to elect City Majors (325) and the municipal deputies (more than 4.00).
