“Venezuela up to date” (03-02-2014)

Ø  To our readers in English: As promised at the end of the year 2012, we offer a “resume” of the principal news in relation  with several important things that happen in Venezuela. Much of this information are originated by free researchers of the Blog group, in order to inform our readers due to the omissions and distortions made by the Venezuelan and International radios, press and TVs

Ø  We give a welcome to the new English speaking readers or our Glob.

ü  The revision of the new economic policies does continue by   the Government of President Nicolas Maduro.  One of the practical results is that goods concentration and price abuses are being stopped. 

ü  Is being into effect the new law approved to control prices, quality and a 30% limit on the  by all private manufacturers in Venezuela.  The reactions were hoped, but it is a constitutional law.  In the mean time was created a new Institution dedicated to control its application. 

ü  A new front was opened by several people: It does consist of a calculated 30 to 40% of the nutrition foods  imported and or produced in Venezuela that had being in a contraband trade to the Republic of Colombia. The direct effect of this kind of trade is that Venezuelan people does not receive and cannot purchase those foods.  A meeting between official functionaries from Venezuela and Colombia has started and there will be a meeting between Presidents Maduro and Santos to be held on February 6^th in order to stop, in both sides, those illegal negotiations. 

ü  The Venezuelan opposition seems to be in an internal crisis, due to the changes shown recently. 

ü  Venezuela opened the Caribbean baseball championship in the Margarita Island with the representations from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican and Venezuela. But there is a return of the Cuba equipment, after 51 years of absence. 

ü  A general plan, already applied in the whole country called Venezuela´s Life and Peace based on new and modern security measures are being applied, in order to force the murder numbers to go down.  In this general plan counts with the participation of all police organizations reinforced in part by the presence of soldiers. The first results are being registered.  

ü  The meeting of the CELAC organization in Havana, Cuba during February 28 and 29, 2014 is being considered by all participants (31 officials from 33 representatives of the governments of Latin America and the Caribbean islands). 

ü  In particular the Venezuelan delegation did its work in order to help that kind of efforts. Between the 83 resolutions unanimously adopted, there is one that declares Latin America and the Caribbean as a “Peace Zone”, free from atomic and chemical arms.

ü  In Venezuela had started new efforts to go ahead in the nutrition foods production and also in the national manufacturers and commerce.
